Summer Instrumental Version of the Song "Nije ljubav stvar” and the Video Clip with Sign Language

Just two days after recording the symphony orchestra version of the song Nije ljubav stvar, (Synonym), we have two new surprises from Zeljko Joksimovic workshop.

Serbian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Zeljko Joksimovic is shooting the official video clip for the song, directed by the famous photographer Nebojsa Babic.

This new video presentation of the song that will be representing our country at the prestigious music contest in May is not an ordinary presentation, it has another aspect to it. Namely, in cooperation with Nenad Mahmutovic Joksimovic will make it possible for hearing impaired persons to follow the words of the song “Nije ljubav stvar”. Mahmutovic will translate the lyrics into sign language for all those who were not able to hear to the song throughout Europe. Mahmutovic is the winner of the local “I’ve got talent” 2011 Show.

This type of communication that the Serbian representative at the Eurovision Song Contest is using is a unique example so far with regard to the preparations of European representatives for the Baku contest. Serbian song will be the first entry at the second Eurovision semi-final on May 24 in the Baku Crystal Hall.

Equally interesting as the video clip that is in the works at the moment is the instrumental video version Zeljko Joksimovic and his creative team have presented last night describing it as a “Summer” version.

This unusual and original audio-visual work is two minutes forty seconds long and is bound to bring smiles on people’s faces.

In this version of the song, the composer of the Serbian entry in Baku plays or mimics the sound of fifteen different instruments!

Besides Internet and social networks, this version of the song is also available on iPhones and Android operating systems.

While Eurovision audiences are expecting to hear the symphony orchestra version of the Serbian Eurovision song for Baku - “Nije ljubav stvar”, they can already hear the instrumental version, and the versions in Russian, English, and Serbian of course.

You can listen to the instrumental “Summer” version of the song at

Synonym in Russian

Yesterday evening the representative of Serbia at the 57th Eurovision Song Contest presented the Russian version of his song “Synonym” (Nije ljubav stvar) now entitled “Любовь не вещь”. Victoria, a fan from Belarus, fulfilled a dream that probably all fans harbor - her translation of the song has been recorded by her favorite singer Zeljko Joksimovic.

Soon after the song had been presented in Serbian and English, Zeljko Joksimovic and the Serbian ESC team announced that “Synonym” would be recorded in the languages of several other Eurovision countries.

Over the past few weeks, Radio Television of Serbia and Zeljko personally, received numerous translations and transliterations of the lyrics in many languages from all around the world.

Zeljko opted for the version in Russian first and chose the lyrics authored by a big fan of his Victoria Lapeho from Belarus. She published her translation on the Twitter social network, where this year’s Serbian ESC representative is also quite active.

Victoria lives in Vitebsk, a town founded by ancient Slavs, and hometown of one the famous painter Marc Chagall. It’s also the city where 13 years ago, at the beginning of his career, Zeljko Joksimovic triumphed at the prestigious international song festival, “Slavyanski Bazaar”. Last year, Joksimovic was a jury member at this festival. Thanks to Twitter, Victoria managed to contact Zeljko and this version of the song is the result.

The Russian version of the song is entitled „Любовь не вещь”, the one in English is “Synonym” and it is expected in the forthcoming period versions in several other languages will be recorded.

Zeljko Joksimovic - Serbian representative at the “2012 Eurovision Song Contest” will appear as the first performer of the second semifinals taking place on May 24th in the Azerbaijani capital.
