Zeljko Joksimovic, multiple representative of Serbia on Eurovision Song Contest and one of the best pop authors and performers in the region, has finished his new single. Apart from several month lasting work that was spent on this song this track is special because of the fact that, after eight-year-long break, the best duo of the Serbian pop scene, Zeljko Joksimovic and Leontina Vukomanovic, are cooperating again!
Creative opus of Zeljko and Leontina is the guarantee of the success for this single. We have to remind you, the two of them made the biggest success with anthology Eurovision hit ’ Lane moje’ for which Leontina wrote the lyrics, Zeljko wrote the music arrangement and production. They made songs ’ Ledja o ledja’ ( music and lyrics by Leontina), ‘Crno pa se ne vidi’ (composer Zeljko Joksimovic) ‘Kad prave ljubavi ginu’ etc. New song has recently been finished and mastered in New York at James Cruise, multiple winner of the Grammy award.
“I feel that I stepped out of the frame with this song, and I am very pleased with that. I really don’t know where this road is going to take me in the future. The song was made by the standards of the contemporary world and it reached the perfection production-wise. I believe that this song is going to become great hit as many songs before it’- Zeljko says and adds ’ Conjunction of events was leading to this song, and I have to thank my wife, Jovana, for that (she is known to Eurovision audience as the presenter of the Eurosong 2008 in Belgrade together with Zeljko).- In fact, merit goes to Jovana for our new beginning. She had the opportunity to be in touch with Leontina, she heard what she was composing at the time and after a few conversations our cooperation became active again.’
On the occasion of the new song in cooperation with Zeljko, Leontina explains: ’ By chance, Jovana, with whom I work gladly and whose shows I attend very often, heard ‘male’ songs I had recently made. The interesting fact is that all those songs came out in one day and I didn’t have any singers in mind on that occasion, because I wrote them for my own pleasure’ Leontina. The moment I heard the finalized version I knew that Zeljko had been unattainable for a long time, and that the song ‘Ludak’ was simply made for him. I have to add that I simply cannot breathe in enough of those chords which Zeljko’s musical arrangement has brought in, and his is the best thing I have heard music-wise for the last twenty years.
